For all who love Levant, a second amour awaits in the form of the charming Levantine. The low seating, brass tables, and magically traditional Lebanese artwork all echo Levant, as does the hint of incense in the air, rose petals, and candlelight. Shortlisted as one of the Evening Standard's most affordable restaurants of the year, and we can see why. This is a place for feasting and sharing of many flavours: we can recommend any of the mezze menus, not only for their absurd affordability, but also for the thirty or so wonderful little courses that are brought to you by cheerful, smiling waiting staff. The hammered brass platters make a fine setting for dishes like hommus beiruty, foul moudamas, stuffed vine leaves, octopus salad, spicy Armenian sausages, and on and on. There are terrific choices here for vegetarians, a head-turning cocktail list, and the best of Lebanese wine to complement it all.

The photograph of Levantine doesn't at all do justice to this charming, comfortable, ethnically decorated and hospitably atmospheric room, air conditioning being another attraction. As other reviewers have noted, food is served generously: it is delicately spiced and succulently prepared. In the nicest possible way, we left stuffed! Among the wines on a short list is an affordable Ch Musar. Paddington's food offer is improving and Levantine is well in the forefront.

Levantine was lovely - really yummy food on the deal and lots of it! I wouldn't recommend it for a quick eat - it's more of a two-hour gastronomic feast. Really nice service, really attentive and relaxing atmosphere. They do add on the extras at the end, though, so watch out if you're on a budget.

Levantine is not as expected but better. The special offer (2 for 1) was great value and we noticed people being turned away on a Sunday night! Well recommended and a 30 second walk from Paddington tube (circle line). Did I mention the belly dancer? - impressive touch. Everyone friendly and professional and although busy food arrived in a timely manner and a goodbye on us leaving.

We dined at Levantine on the 2 for 1 £35 mezze banquet menu, which was good value considering the top table deal. The food was good overall, however the main meat courses were a little overcooked and dry. The mezze starters and the dessert platters were delicious. You get a LOT of food if you go for this menu!

We booked Levantine for our anniversary dinner and had a wondeful evening... The food was excellent, service was attentive and friendly, and fantastic value with the top table offer. Would definitely return here.

Leavantine restaurant in Paddington has a really nice atmosphere with dim lighting and beautiful decor. I took my husband there for his birthday lunch and we were really impressed by the service and the food. Would definitely recommend to friends as a treat, as it is a bit pricy!

Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Food was superb, service very good and excellent value for money. Have already recommended to a couple of people and will definitely go to eat there again.
